I don’t think I’ve ever heard the word “statuesque” used in any context other than as a descriptor for Dallas Cowboys (and former New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills) Quarterback Drew Bledsoe. The funny thing about this is not just that he’s the only person, place or thing to which I’ve ever seen this adjective applied, but the adjective is applied to him with staggering regularity. Case in point: eight pages of Google results featuring the phrase “statuesque Bledsoe”, and another five featuring the phrase “statuesque Drew Bledsoe“.
Full disclosure: Bledsoe was my favorite athlete when I was a kid, and seeing him put out to pasture on Monday Night Football last night was a fairly unpleasant experience for me. That said, I gotta be honest here: the dude can’t run very fast for a professional football player.

Any intelligence on how many times “Statuesque” is used on the web to describe something other than Drew Bledsoe? I would be interested to see what percentage of the times Statuesque is used in regards to Drew Bledsoe as compared to all other things.
I am now going to write two words to shock you….. “Ben Coates.”
