This is fun! Now I demand an insightful personal narative for all my favorite bands. You can start with David Bowie. That's an easy one right? That will take no time at all. Then you can work your way to bands like: Vlad Tepes, Von, Fullmoon Rise, RaHoWa, Azhubham Haani, Thorns, Boreb, Ike Zinnerman, Charlemagne Palestine, Alessandro Moreschi, Morrisey, Falco, The Monks, and Mail Myself to Thoreau. I expect these to be posted by no later than June 19 2009 at 1:34pm.

Why do all the hotties have to be haters?

Um, no offense but, this is by far the worst post I've seen here. I am sure I am biased, but I couldn't make it past the first couple of sentences. What happened to the hip, quirky, pop culure refferencing Sven LLama that we all know and... um,... can tolerate?

I've not found one. If you find one that works on Oracle or open source databases, I'd love to know about it. This is something I've always wanted.

I've never purchased a thing from American Apparel, but I love the ads because they're raw and honest and fuckin' filthy.

AA also has a good position on "illegal" immigration: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Apparel#Support_for_immigration_reform

This is really, really creepy behavior. If I was married to Laura Howard, I'd probably file for divorce upon discovering this Flickr account.

I don't have much to say on this topic other than to mention two other vaguely related phenomena: 1) For some reason there are celebrities that from the very first time I see them I hate them and will make every effort to avoid them I can, and I dan't know why. It seems irrelevent to their talent or looks. A good example is Regis Philbin. He isn't particularly ugly, and I have no idea if he has some form of talent, but I know for certain that I hold a deep, extreme, and sincere hatred for him. I just had to wiki him for the spelling of his name, which brought up a picture of him, and I'm now ragingly pissed off. 2) I believe that for every one there's at least one or two celebrities that you would find it to be extremely gratifying to punch in the face over and over for a good four or five hours. And the odd thing is that it doesn't seem to have anything to do with hating the person. Take Scott Stapp, I think his music is aweful, but that's no reason to attack the guy. But, oh boy, would I love to hit that guy in the face.
In case you haven't figured it out already, which is highly unlikely, I'm the Dan you know from high school, the one who hangs out with scott. And the real reason I'm writing this comment is that several days ago I sent you an email and you haven't responded. It's fine if my email isn't a real priority and you just haven't got around to it yet, I just want to make sure I had the right address and you haven't deemed me not cool eneogh to be your freind.

Seriously, I have totally written off FatBob's Absinthe Jugband after that self-titled abortion. I was quite fond of 'Bloodflowers' as it came out while I was in a unique emotional and geographic place. It inspired what little songwriting I did at the time too. (A handful of the lyrics used on Matrix's second album 'The War Is Over' came from that period.)

I can't say I was a huge fan of 'Wild Mood Swings', though the singles "Strange Attraction," "Gone!" and "Mint Car" have some sentimental value from back in the Shelton Soul era. I recall buying "The 13th" as a CASSINGLE in high school and taking a long time to warm up to it.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to listen to 'Sideshow' on my iPod and do the fey gothic sway.
